This week a friend of mine was deployed to Afghanistan.  Our church has been in prayer for him, his wife and son.  This prayer is lifted up for all those who serve our country.   May the Lord bless them all.

A Prayer for our Troops

Thank you Lord for those who serve,
Who help protect this land.
Be with them and keep them safe
Hold them in Your mighty Hand.
Give them the strength and wisdom
To do what they must do.
Watch over them and keep them safe
Until their job is through.

And don’t forget their families Lord,
They also need your touch.
Things at home just aren’t the same
When there are loved ones you miss so much.
So we pray for our soldiers Lord,
Bless these women and men;
Be with them wherever they go
And bring them home safe again.
