I came home from work today and my wife Marta shared a cute story with me. She had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with our youngest granddaughter Haley and they had a great time. We are very blessed because our granddaughters live just 3 houses away and we get to see them all the time. This afternoon Marta gave Haley who is almost 2 years old her first piece of carrot cake. She said that Haley would take a bite and smile and say, “Mmmmm.” When she asked Haley if it was good, Haley didn’t answer, she just took another bite and said, “Mmmmm.” That was how it went until Haley finished the cake; all she could do was take bite after bite and say, “Mmmmm.” As we laughed about how funny that was and how cute Haley is, it reminded us of how good God is and how much He has blessed us. The Bible says in Psalm 34:8

O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8

Oh my goodness Our God is good! He is better than any cake you have ever tried and anything you have ever experienced. He will comfort you, take care of you, meet your needs and leave you speechless. He will provide you with eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ, prepare for you a mansion in glory and bless you so abundantly that all you can do is sit there, smile like a two year old eating cake and say, “Mmmmm.” If you don’t know Him, you need to try Him. Go to Him today! Enter into an everlasting relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. Taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.
