Where Can I Go?

I took these pictures of my lovely bride when Marta Stephens and I took a walk on the southern most pier in the continental United States.  In one of them you can see the southern most hotel in the continental United States.  No, we are not staying there.  The southern most hotel has prices that are a little north of my budget.  I am told that in years past, a lot of influential and well known people came to this part of the Keys to get away from it all.

Being on the southern most part of the continental U.S. and the thought of people trying to get away from it all reminded me of David’s words in Psalm 139:7 – 8.  David speaking of the Lord says,

“Where can I go from Your Spirit?  Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there…”

David knows that no distance, no location, no problem nor any situation can ever separate Him from the Lord. The Lord is always with Him!  That is a comforting thought for those in a covenant relationship with the Lord.  We serve a God who is always with us and who will never leave us nor forsake us, no matter where our journey takes us.  We had another great day in Key West.

About pastorpstephens

I have been blessed to have served as a pastor, a chaplain and to have been involved in other ministries throughout the years. My wife Marta and I have been blessed with a wonderful family that includes our daughter, her husband and their two daughters and our son and his wife and their son. Each of them are very special to us so please keep them all in your prayers. One truth that I always try to share with people I meet is that anything God asks you to do, He will help you to do. God has your back.
