Along the Way

We have been doing vacation bible school this week and it has been a lot of fun.  It has been great seeing our people minister to the kids, teach lessons and share God’s word.  It has truly been a blessing.  I have been reminded of the passage in Deuteronomy 6:6 which says

Deu 6:6 “These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. 7 “You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.”

Every step of the way this week, at every station, whether it has involved songs, crafts, snacks or recreation games like the “Living Water relays,” members of our church have shared applications of God’s word with the kids.  And the kids have been receiving it so well!  They have been asking and answering questions and leading prayers.  This week has been a blessing!  Thank you for your prayers for our VBS ministry this year!  I ask that you would continue to pray for these kids and pray they would continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Until next time, stay strong in the faith,

Pastor Phillip Stephens

About pastorpstephens

I have been blessed to have served as a pastor, a chaplain and to have been involved in other ministries throughout the years. My wife Marta and I have been blessed with a wonderful family that includes our daughter, her husband and their two daughters and our son and his wife and their son. Each of them are very special to us so please keep them all in your prayers. One truth that I always try to share with people I meet is that anything God asks you to do, He will help you to do. God has your back.
