I am continuing to do well in my studies and am halfway through my first 8 week term during this summer session. I have received some grades on a couple of different papers that I have written for the two classes that I am currently taking and I made very high grades on both of them. I was particularly pleased with one of the papers as the professor took the time to write me a note saying, “Nicely done. Good arguments and very logical!” While the grade in his class is about the same as the grade I have in the other class, I find that his feedback on this paper and other work has been very encouraging and has kept me more interested and engaged in his class. It is very important for us to remember the power of kind words in motivating others. The bible says in Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant and encouraging words are not only great at motivating a student to stay engaged and moving forward in class, but they are also important in helping affirm someone’s value and worth in this world. Pleasant words can brighten someone’s day and help them to keep pressing on and moving forward despite the homework, headaches and heartaches that life can sometimes send their way. Pleasant words let others know that you care and that they are an important and valuable part of your life. It takes a little longer to offer pleasant words and kindness to others, but you never know the difference you may make in someone’s day.
I pray that you will know how valuable and special you are to Almighty God. He loves you so much that He gave His Only Begotten Son for you so that if you place your trust in Him you can have everlasting life.
God loves you so much that He is willing to give you the strength to meet whatever challenge you face today. You CAN do all things through Christ who WILL STRENGTHEN YOU!
God loves you! I hope that you will receive those pleasant words and that they will be sweet to your soul and will bring healing to your bones!
